  This blog post is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies (software).  Xtramath Xtramath is an online math fact fluency programs that works to improve student recall and automaticity of basic math facts. After creating a teacher account, teachers can add their students, review teacher guides, access classroom resources, and find practice work to send home with students. Teachers are able to receive weekly progress reports so they can monitor student progress.  Xtramath is adaptive to each student to help improve math skills.  There are multiple resources available on Xtramath though many of them require a paid subscription. The one resource that is free is the student printables. These include coloring sheets and blank certificates for students after they have completed a topic.  This tool seems easy to use and offers math and stem activities.   This blog post is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies (software).  Skyward Skyward is an online school management technology that includes student management, such as grades, human resources, and financial management.  Click  here  to watch a video on Skywards student information system.  Parents, teachers, administrators, and other school personnel are all able to use Skyward.  Skyward has many functions including a gradebook, attendance, health office visits, classroom tools, and messaging with families,  Overall this tool is easy to use, it is versatile as a school and classroom management technology. This was a tool that the school district I attended used so,  I think it is likely that I will be using something like this as a future teacher.  This blog post is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies (software).  Legends of Learning Legends of Learning is a website that offers a variety of math and science games for grades K-8. It is curriculum aligned, backed by research, teacher reviewed, and fun for students. There are a variety of games to choose from within the subjects of math and science.  Teachers are able to add their students to their class site and connect parents to the class site as well. Teachers can create game based assignments for their students to complete, see assessments based off of the assignments, and access lesson plans. Below the teacher navigation panel is shown.  Within each game teachers are able to see the game details and curriculum integration.  Legends of Learning is very easy to use and is somewhat versatile in that there are multiple games to choose within different topics of the subjects math and science.  This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies (software).  Khan Academy Khan Academy is an online educational resource that offers lessons on a variety of subjects. The lessons have videos and supplementary practice exercises. Khan academy offers lessons for grade levels for pre-k through college. Attached below is list of the different subjects offered and the grade levels that the lessons are made for.  After selecting a subject and grade level there are multiple lessons that can be chosen from depending on what you are teaching within the subject.  Teachers can create a teacher account and add their students. Teachers are able to assign work to their students and see the grades after students complete their assignments.  There is a new function that is called Khanmigo.   This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies in the T3PP results ppt, the tool is Go Noodle. Here is a Go Noodle  video  to try for fun.  Go Noodle is a website that educators can use videos and other activities to get students moving and give them a brain break. There are different categories to choose activities from. The categories are curricular, SEL and mindfulness, sensory and motor skills, school life, and movement type. Within each of the categories there are sub categories so teachers are able to find specific activities and each has a variety of videos and activities to choose from. This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies in the T3PP results ppt, the tool is Class Dojo. Class Dojo is an educational technology that is used for communication between teachers, students, and families. You can send pictures and videos, send messages which can be translated into more than 35  languages .  After making an account, teachers can add the school they work at and then add students and families. There is a section called the class story where teachers can post information about their classroom. There is also a section called portfolios where teachers can share student work, provide feedback, and share student accomplishments.  This is what the messaging section of Class Dojo looks like. This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies in the T3PP results ppt, the tool is Gimkit.  Gimkit is a classroom game-show platform that students participate in via electronic devices. Teachers can create their own question sets, a kit, or choose from existing kits. Gimkit can be used for introducing a topic, reviewing, or as a check for understanding.  Teachers can add the students in their class so students use their real names and have control over who joins the game. Kits can be made into assignments that students complete independently and are graded automatically.  You can add your kit to a game of your choice from Gimkit and assign it to students to complete at a later time or a live game can be played.  These are a few of the game options for assigned kits.  These are a few of the game options for live play kits.
