Khan Academy. Post #9

This blog entry is about a tool of my own interest from the list of technologies (software).

Khan Academy

Khan Academy is an online educational resource that offers lessons on a variety of subjects. The lessons have videos and supplementary practice exercises. Khan academy offers lessons for grade levels for pre-k through college. Attached below is list of the different subjects offered and the grade levels that the lessons are made for.

After selecting a subject and grade level there are multiple lessons that can be chosen from depending on what you are teaching within the subject.
Teachers can create a teacher account and add their students. Teachers are able to assign work to their students and see the grades after students complete their assignments.
There is a new function that is called Khanmigo. This is an AI function made for teachers that can create lesson plans, rubrics, and exit tickets.

Overall Khan Academy is very easy to use and is versatile since there are a variety of subjects, grade levels, and lessons within each subject.
I think I am very likely to use this in my future classroom as it can be used for a variety of subjects across multiple grade levels.
This tool can connect to the 7 events framework for presenting the content or assessing the lesson outcome.
